Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using Jeyedi.com (the “Platform”), operated under the trade name Jeyedi. By accessing or registering for an account on the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
Jeyedi.com is an online marketplace that enables Buyers and Sellers to engage in secure, agent-facilitated transactions. We provide the technology, payment escrow, and support services that make your purchases and sales efficient and protected. These Terms govern your use of our website, mobile applications, APIs, and any associated services (collectively, the “Services”).
We strive to maintain the confidentiality of our internal processes, fee structures, and financial arrangements. Consequently, these Terms describe your rights and obligations without disclosing proprietary details about our matching algorithms, fee calculations, or agent appointment procedures.
Your use of the Services constitutes acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Please review both documents carefully. If you disagree with any provision, you must immediately discontinue use of the Services.
In these Terms, the following capitalized terms have the meanings specified below:
By registering for an account, clicking “I agree,” or otherwise using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in their entirety.
You acknowledge that prior to registration you were given an opportunity to review these Terms and that your acceptance is a condition of access.
If we update these Terms, we will post the revised version on the Platform with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after such changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
To facilitate transparency, we may notify registered Users of material changes via email or in-app notification. However, it is your responsibility to review the most current version of these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any portion of the Services or these Terms at any time, in our sole discretion, with or without notice.
Notices of material changes will be posted on the Platform or sent to your registered email. Changes become effective immediately upon posting unless otherwise specified.
If you do not agree to modified Terms, you must cease using the Services and close your account. Continued use after the effective date constitutes your acceptance.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.
By registering, you represent and warrant that you satisfy these eligibility requirements and that all information you provide is truthful, accurate, complete, and up to date.
Jeyedi may refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content at our discretion if we suspect any misrepresentation or violation of these eligibility requirements.
To open an account, you must provide an email address, password, and any other information we require (e.g., name, phone number). You agree to maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate.
We may verify your identity via email confirmation or additional verification steps. Until verification is complete, certain features (e.g., listing items, withdrawals) may be restricted.
You are responsible for safeguarding your password and login credentials and must immediately notify Jeyedi of any unauthorized use or breach of your credentials.
Accounts are personal. You may not share your login credentials.
Jeyedi may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, exhibit fraudulent behavior, or present security risks.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations, refrain from prohibited conduct (see Section 12), and respect the confidentiality of Platform operations.
Sellers may create, edit, and remove item listings. Each listing must comply with content guidelines.
Buyers can search by keyword, category, price range, or other filters to find suitable items.
Buyers submit Offers; Sellers may accept, reject, or counter-offer. All communications occur via secure in-platform messaging.
Buyers’ funds move into Escrow upon deal confirmation. Funds remain secure until the Buyer confirms receipt or a refund is processed.
Wallet balances reflect completed top-ups, purchases, refunds, and withdrawals. Supported payment methods (e.g., credit card, mobile money) are processed by third-party providers under separate terms.
Email and in-app notifications keep you informed of transaction status, system announcements, and promotional offers.
A dedicated support team and appointed Agents assist with inquiries and dispute mediation.
Initiating Registration: Click “Register,” provide required details, and agree to these Terms and Privacy Policy via checkbox.
Email Verification: A verification link is sent to your email; you must click the link to activate your account.
Role Selection: During registration, you select Buyer, Seller, or both roles. Role changes post-registration may require additional verification.
Completing Profile: You may add optional details to enhance trust (e.g., profile photo, personal bio). Additional profile completion may unlock advanced features.
Account Activation: Once all required steps are complete, your account is activated and you may use the Services.
Listings must truthfully describe condition, quantity, and provenance of items. Sellers must not list counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited goods.
High-quality images, clear titles, and detailed descriptions improve trust and search ranking. Each listing may include up to five images and up to 500 words of description.
Sellers set their own prices. Jeyedi may surcharge transaction fees or optional promotion fees, displayed at checkout.
Sellers may modify or remove listings at any time. However, existing pending Offers remain binding until explicitly canceled or expired.
Placing an Offer: Buyers submit an Offer specifying price and any special terms. Buyers must have sufficient Wallet balance for the proposed Offer.
Responding to an Offer: Sellers can accept, decline, or counter. Counter-offers generate a new negotiation cycle. Buyers may accept or decline counter-offers.
Offer Expiration: Offers have a default expiration time (e.g., 48 hours) unless otherwise specified in the listing.
Binding Agreement: An Agreement is binding once the Buyer’s Offer is accepted and the Seller confirms readiness to fulfill.
Withdrawal: Buyers may withdraw Offers before acceptance. Sellers may withdraw listings prior to accepting an Offer.
Upon acceptance of an Offer, the Buyer’s Wallet is debited and funds held in Escrow.
Sellers must ship items within the timeframe indicated in the listing. Buyers must confirm receipt or report issues within two days of delivery.
If no issues are reported within the confirmation window, Escrowed funds are automatically released to the Seller.
If the Buyer disputes delivery or condition, an Agent may review and decide on partial or full refunds.
Transaction records, delivery confirmations, and dispute outcomes are stored for compliance and audit purposes.
Users may add funds via supported payment methods (credit/debit card, mobile money). External provider fees may apply.
Top-up requests remain pending until confirmed by the payment provider. You will be notified once funds are available.
Sellers and Buyers may withdraw Wallet balances to linked bank or mobile money accounts, subject to minimum/maximum limits.
In the event of payment failures, duplicate charges, or provider errors, please contact support promptly.
We employ encryption and monitoring tools to protect payment data. Users agree not to attempt unauthorized transactions.
Jeyedi charges a fee for each completed transaction. Current fee percentages are displayed at checkout.
Fees may be updated at any time. Updated fees take effect immediately for new transactions.
From time to time, Jeyedi may offer discounted or waived fees for certain categories or promotional periods.
Fees are automatically deducted from Escrow upon release of funds to the Seller.
The precise breakdown of how fees are allocated or calculated is proprietary and not disclosed publicly.
Buyers must inspect delivered items and confirm acceptance within two days.
If items are not as described or damaged, Buyers may open a dispute. Agents review evidence and make final determinations.
Agent decisions on delivery disputes are binding and not subject to further appeal on the Platform.
Buyers and Sellers should attempt to resolve disagreements via in-platform messaging.
If communication fails, either party may request Agent mediation.
Parties may submit images, tracking information, and written statements.
Agents evaluate submitted evidence and decide on fund release or refund.
Agent rulings are final and enforceable as between the parties.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or at our sole discretion.
You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Outstanding obligations (e.g., pending transactions) must be resolved prior to closure.
Terminated accounts lose access to Services and forfeit any unclaimed promotional credits. Relevant data is retained for regulatory compliance.
All content on the Platform (text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software) is owned or licensed by Jeyedi and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Jeyedi grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for your personal and business transactions as permitted by these Terms.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of any Platform content without prior written permission from Jeyedi.
You retain ownership of any content you post, including listings, reviews, and messages. You warrant that you have the rights to post such content.
By posting content, you grant Jeyedi a worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, and display your content in connection with the Services.
We reserve the right to remove or disable access to any content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data.
We collect information you provide (e.g., account details, transaction data) and technical data (e.g., device, IP address).
Data is used to provide and improve Services, process transactions, prevent fraud, and communicate with you.
We share data with payment processors, service providers, and as required by law.
We retain data to comply with legal obligations and to enforce these Terms. You may request deletion of your personal data in accordance with applicable law.
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
You shall not disclose any non-public information about Jeyedi’s internal processes, algorithms, fee structures, or agent appointment criteria.
You agree to respect the confidentiality of other Users’ personal information and not disclose it to unauthorized parties.
You agree not to engage in any of the following on or via the Platform:
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
THE PLATFORM AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. JEYEDI DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
JEYEDI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JEYEDI’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO JEYEDI IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD 100), WHICHEVER IS LOWER. IN NO EVENT SHALL JEYEDI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Jeyedi and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:
Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, labor disputes, power failures, or Internet outages.
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without Jeyedi’s prior written consent. Jeyedi may assign its rights and obligations at any time without notice.
If any provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, such provision shall be deemed deleted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jeyedi regarding the Platform, superseding all prior agreements, understandings, or representations.
All notices under these Terms shall be given via in-Platform notification or email to the address you provided. Notices to Jeyedi should be sent to support@Jeyedi.com.
These Terms and any disputes arising hereunder shall be governed by the laws of Ghana, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Accra, Ghana, for any disputes not resolved through Agent mediation.
